Precision welding for molds Hashimoto Industry is able to handle a wide variety of welding from ultrafine padding to high-precision large-scale padding. We are particularly expert at ultrafine padding (high-precision welding). Women are rare in the welding industry, but our female staff have an excellent reputation for delicate welding. Our experienced staff handle precision welding of large-scale padding, and our customers are extremely satisfied with the results. A crane capable of handling up to 2 tons has been installed in the Welding Room. Even if a mold weighs more than 2 tons, our experienced staff will handle the job by carrying out welding with the mold still on the truck. We are sometimes asked to weld ultrafine padding at a level of hundredths of a millimeter. We answer our customers’ requests as much as humanly possible by using precision laser welders. Case 1
Shape recovery through welding.
It is possible to carry out high-precision welding with little impact on the surrounding dimensions.
We are also able to keep sink marks to a minimum.
Case 2
Shape recovery for blade edges.
Our precision TIG welder allows us to carry out ultrafine padding.
This is an extremely valuable type of welding which only a small number of technicians are capable of performing, even at Hashimoto Industry.
Case 3
Welding of padding within a given frame.
This welding is carried out within a certain area that has been marked off.
We use precision laser welders to weld padding down to the hundredths of a millimeter.
Case 4
Redesign by welding half-padding.
Redesign is the second most common reason for welding, after repair.
Padding can be added exactly where it is needed.
Case 5
Edge padding in a circular configuration.
Mold edges and angles tend to get damaged easily.
In this photograph, we have carried out edge padding in a circle using 0.1 mm solvent.
After finishing, this technique allows edges to be restored.
Case 6
High-precision welding in a rib configuration.
Padding is welded on in order to reconfigure a rib section.
Re-cutting is required and as a result the technician needs to weld without bubbling, marking or cracking.

I’d imagined it would be like a factory but when I arrived it was a really nice and tidy place, which gave me peace of mind when I handed over my mold.
